Cody was born and raised in Independence. He began to notice his interest with the human body during his time at Truman High School. Active in many sports, he was no stranger to injury and a trauma to his knee led him into physical therapy. There, he began to find his passion for how the body worked. In 2013, he participated in an internship with Dr. Gray and Dr. Josh which focused his passion on chiropractic care.
During his time at Truman, he participated in a multitude of sports including football, baseball, and wrestling. Cody had the opportunity to travel and wrestle with team USA in Australia and for the trans-international cup at the age of 14. As he got older, he began to narrow his focus in sports and dedicated his efforts towards baseball. Choosing Baker University, he continued his baseball career and education, majoring in Exercise Science.
While attending Baker University, he interned at Rodrock Chiropractic in Baldwin City, KS, and Fulk Chiropractic in Olathe, KS. After helping treat thousands of patients and completing his pre-med education, he began his next chapter, Cleveland University-Kansas City.
His education at Cleveland University began the concluding chapter of his childhood goal of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. Throughout Chiropractic school, Cody was additionally able to obtain numerous certifications in treatments such as IASTM, Taping, DNS, and Dry Needling.
Cody couldn’t have done it without the support of his family. Their overwhelming support has always helped push him to be the best he could whether it was in sports or education. He also couldn’t have done without his high school sweetheart, Rachel. Supporting him for over 10 years, she has been with him every step of the way. Between the two, they have two beautiful blue-eyed huskies, Maverick and Kilo, who don’t fall short in the personality category!
